    Reuse Water Bottles

Post by Cabrillo-1 on Sun Feb 14, 2016 10:30 pm

Disposible water bottles are not designed for long term water storage. The water doesn't expire but the plastic effectively does.
Just heard this tip today: Instead of disposing of your water bottles, refill them with tap water and store them in the bathroom. This water can then be used to flush your toliet, wash your hands or even bathe in. These water bottles can be heated or frozen and they will retain the heat or cold for a while. For example, heat the water bottle and wrap it in a towel to act as a heating pad. Frozen, these make ice packs to put in a cooler.

Thanks to Tom from HRO Burbank for the tip!
